We recently completed restoration of Bob Godfrey’s Academy Award-winning animated film “Great” which pays homage to the extraordinary Victorian engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
The restoration was coordinated by Tom Lowe who managed to locate the original negative and have it scanned at 4K.
After many years of use the negative was in poor condition but following several weeks of Flame 2020 work by Peerless’s Paul Round and Josh Lake, the film once again represents the hugely talented group of people who created it in the early 1970’s.
Supervision of the restoration was by Kent Houston, who was cameraman for Bob Godfrey when the film was made.
